World’s First Plastic-Free Supermarket Aisle Opens in Amsterdam
The Dutch supermarket chain Ekoplaza is the very first to host a plastic-free aisle, where food is wrapped in biodegradable plastic. Packaging containers are made from metal, glass and cardboard as well as compostable materials.
In January, another supermarket chain in the United Kingdom also said it would remove plastic packaging from all of its brand products by 2023. They will swap plastic for paper and pulp trays, and use paper bags that are fully recyclable. So, the future seems to have some big changes in store for us. A chat with Madeleine
Earlier this month we talked with our Account and Marketing Manager Madeleine from our Shanghai office. She is working in both marketing and sales, taking care of our Swedish clients, as well as helping with our internship program.
