Tetra Pak’s New Packaging Material Effects Help Attract Customers’ Attention

TetraPak1Tetra Pak, the multinational food packaging and processing company of Swedish origin, just revealed a set of new packaging material effects, the “Tetra Pak Artistry”. The purpose of this new collection is to make it easier for food and beverage factories to revitalize the design and feel of their packaging.

These brand-new effects and materials will definitely help manufacturers grab consumers’ attention, without the need for them to switch to a new packaging format or invest in new equipment.

Here are Tetra Pak Artistry 4 effects:

1. Tetra Pak® Craft – gives the package the natural look of paperboard with wood fibres.

2. Tetra Pak® Metallized – creates a shiny metallic effect.

3. Tetra Pak® Reflect – incorporates holographic effects onto the package (one of the packaging design trends for 2018).

4. Tetra Pak® Sculpt – not released yet, but this new material effect will give an embossed surface texture to packages to enhance consumers’ experience.

The whole range of effects will be available for the majority of Tetra Pak package formats and offered to customers worldwide.

More Choices, More Visibility and Eco-Friendliness!

Some of these effects were already generally available (the metallized effect for example) but the last few years, the portfolio of Tetra Pak Artistry increased with many different format, size, packages and effects.

Others are still being tested and will be launched late Spring 2018 in a limited edition first and then extended depending on the success of the materials.

Charles Brand, executive VP, product management and commercial operations at Tetra Pak, stated that the company is aiming at providing its customers with something unique to help their brands stand out from the crowd and reach the shoppers.

“The new suite of effects and expressions will help our customers enhance their brand at no additional investment, making it a cost-effective solution to their needs”, Brand said.

The new effects have the same environmental credentials as the rest of the portfolio, Charles Brand said. “Our packages have a high share of paperboard, a material made from wood fibers, a natural and renewable resource. Tetra Pak Craft has been developed with the possibility to combine a new board with other environmental features, such as using materials from renewable sources, to strengthen even more the environmental position of the packages.”
